Where Cash Beats Credit
There is a slnni'-' pnibnbility that
the school hmtri! will heat the schools
of the citv with coal instead of
wood. Such aclion will be taken at
a siecinl meeting of the hoard to be
held in the near future, unless more
bids for wood conic in soon.
Kir weeks the board has advertis
ed for bids for .'100 cords of wood,
but up to today only one bid was
filed, and tluir yesterday. If wood
is to be used it must be stacked up
ill the school yards by September Jj
ready for use. All 'the wood con
tractors, due to the shortace of la
bor, seem afraid to take on a con

Ilecnuse of the luck of bids so far
the board has been invest'eratinsr the

that it can get all the conl of Rood

much cheaper Hum it can get wood.

How often we hear the expression
How she has faded!" or "Hasn't she
grown old!" Her friends see It. Her
husband sees it. She realizes It her
self with a pang. Often she knows
the reason, some female derangement
has fastened Itself upon her and
makes It almost impossible for her to
drag around from day to day. Such
women should remember there is one
tried and true remedy for their condi
tion, and that I.ydla E. Pinkham's
Vegetable Compound for more than
forty years has been restoring women
to health and happiness. Try it!
