A plea was inndo by the pastor to clear tho church of all debt so as to begin tho new year with a clear record. This was readily re sponded to by the people and $122 was pledged. This amount was moro than enough to covor the debt but the congregation wished to have more than less. J. F. Denhaiu and family motored to Jledford Sunday evening. J. W. Bailey was in from Ander son creek Saturday. The Medford Grizzlies wont thru Talent at about 7 a. in. Sunday morn ing on their way to explore tho beau ties of Anderson creek. A delightful surpriso pnrty was given Lloyd Turner Saturday ovening by the Talent high school. Tho oc casion was his near departure for Portland to enter the aviation corps.
