(1., of Woodburn, which is stationed on duty in Med J'ord, removed its headquarters from tho Seventh company armory to the Cuthherl building, ftixth ami North Central, Ilolstein soon afterwards rented the house on Sixth street, im mediately in the rear of Hie Culhliert building, and moved in with his fam ily, his wife and an eighteen-year-old sou having arrived in the eil.y in the meantime. It has also boon learned that Ilol slein and "Sergeant" Frank have boon going to towns south of Med i'ord as far as Montague, Cab, where tho boy would play musical instru ments in small theaters. It is claim ed that this was but. an excuse for Ilolstein to ride back and forth along the Southern Pacific railroad to learn iiere giuttd patrols of Com pany I were stationed. Sergeant Hrooks, who has charge of recruiting in Mrdford for the ma rine corps, saw Ilolstein at San Di ego a year ago loitering around the military barracks there. Uotstein claimed Friday he would return to this city as soon as ho had placed Frank in tho hands of Zimbalist and tho New York Symphony orehestrn in New York City. DRAFTSMEN MID County Prosecutor Itoberls will probably swear out a warrant for tho arrest of a man known as C. H. Wil liams on the charge of kidnapping Howard, the 9-year old son of J. A. Walto from the Lewis & Harr ranch at Watklns, Squaw Creek last Tues day. The present whoreahouts of Wil liams and the hoy Is unknown, hut it Is thought they are headed eastward to Join Mrs. Walte, who has heen sep arated from her husband for some time, and when last heard from was In Iowa. Williams Is presumed to he an agent or special detectlvo of Mrs Walte employed to gain possession of the hoy for her. Williams visited the Watklns ranch. whore Mr. Walte was employed, last Monday and induced Walto to go to Rosehurg to accept a position In that city. Tho next day Williams return ed to the ranch and pretending, It Is claimed, that Mr. Walto had sent for tho hoy, took tho lad away. Word of his son's disappearance was tele graphed to Mr. Walte In ltoseburg who returned Friday morning.
