The changing of the date to Fri day comes on account of an oversight which resulted from the enthusiasm of Judge William Colvlg, who was so Intent on getting a bill drawn up and sanctioned by the club that he forgot tho marriage of his son, Don, to Miss Starr Marshall, Wednesday night. Since his son announced the wedding some weeks ago and had made spe cial plans, Judge Colvlg did not ask blm to postpone the Important event until later that he might attend the meeting. FORMER MEDFQRDITES TORNADO VICTIMS Word came to Norman Moud.ay that In the recent tornado that Vhitt ed tho western iwirt of Oklahoma, two well know citizens or this city n short time, ago, were unfortunate in tho loss Of property. Joe W lutoit and family lived at Sentinel, and his property has been destroyed entire - ly, while Albert Symcox. who with his family resided on a fine farm ad joining Cordell. tho county seat of Washita county, lost all ot his build ings when the same storm reached that point. Both families escaped Injury hav ing taken refuge In their storm cave. While the property loss to both men Is considerable, they are thankful ;o Ijiavo escaped so lightly everything considered. A straugo fact to be re membered Is that both families were victims of tho disastrous tornadoes that visited the sections both north and south of Norman, on the after noon of April -Tith, just nineteen years ago. One tornado experience is usually all that falls to the lot of tho avcrago person, nnd it is to be presumed, that as a rule, that Is one more oxjierlence than Is desirable. Norman, Okla., Democrat. Mr. Symcox and family lived "here about eighteen months, owned the place now the property or John Mad den, owns business property In Med rord now and is a brother of Mrs. Addie Haswell of this city. Mrs. Joe Wlnton Is a sister ot Mrs. Haswell. In the cyclono of nineteen years ago Mrs. Haswell lost everything and came west. The Symcox and Wlnton families should return to tho land of sunshlno and happiness.
