GOOD ROADS MEETING
The good roads meeting, which will

TORNADO VICTIMS
Word came to Norman Moud.ay
that In the recent tornado that Vhitt
ed tho western iwirt of Oklahoma,
two well know citizens or this city
n short time, ago, were unfortunate
in tho loss Of property. Joe W lutoit
and family lived at Sentinel, and his
property has been destroyed entire -
ly, while Albert Symcox. who with
his family resided on a fine farm ad
joining Cordell. tho county seat of
Washita county, lost all ot his build
ings when the same storm reached
that point.
Both families escaped Injury hav
ing taken refuge In their storm cave.
While the property loss to both men
Is considerable, they are thankful ;o
Ijiavo escaped so lightly everything
considered. A straugo fact to be re
membered Is that both families were
victims of tho disastrous tornadoes
that visited the sections both north
and south of Norman, on the after
noon of April -Tith, just nineteen
years ago. One tornado experience
is usually all that falls to the lot of
tho avcrago person, nnd it is to be
presumed, that as a rule, that Is one
more oxjierlence than Is desirable.
Norman, Okla., Democrat.
Mr. Symcox and family lived "here
about eighteen months, owned the
place now the property or John Mad
den, owns business property In Med
rord now and is a brother of Mrs.
Addie Haswell of this city. Mrs. Joe
Wlnton Is a sister ot Mrs. Haswell.
In the cyclono of nineteen years ago
Mrs. Haswell lost everything and
came west. The Symcox and Wlnton
families should return to tho land of
sunshlno and happiness.

If .You Were an Expert,
What Car Would You Buy?
The time hns passed whcn'autoniobiki? am be sold toyouon
their appearances or claims. This is a day when yon and l-very
purchaser must be shown what the car for which ou pay your
money will actually perform;! what it will do. Bewnrc of nn
automobile salesman who attempts to beguile you with a
pleasing story. Tell him to show the Roods and prove to you
that his cars are worth the money. Find out whether his car
is a real car or only an assembled automobile built to sell.
You have a right to your money's worth, but it is up to you
to see that you got it. Deeper than all appearances, there
arc n few expert tests which ought to be applied to every car.
Who makes the car? Is it an assembled car or made from top
to bottom by one manufacturer? What kind of a guarantee
is on it? Docs the manufacturer respect his own product
with a real guarantee, or does he want you to tnkc the chance?
What do parts cost you and how conveniently can you get
them? How many cars of this make are in service and how
many are giving satisfaction? Questions like these go deep into
the heart of the case, and if you put them rigorously upon
any car you will find out with a certainty whether or not that
car is worth its price.
We are selling Studcbakcr E-M-F ,430" and Flanders "20"
cars because wc know that, dollar for dollar, thcir equal is not
sold in the market today. The records of many thousands of
cars in all kinds of service have convinced us absolutely.
Studcbakcr E-M-F "30" and Flanders "20" cars arc built to
run, and because they run they sell. If wc cannot prove to
you under the most searching test that Studcbakcr cars are
absolutely the best automobile values in the market, wc do
not want your business; but wc can prove it, and your
neighbors who drive these cars will tell you the same thing.
Be an expert when it comes to buying a car. You can, by
getting from us some further ideas on real tests of an
automobile. Chp the attached coupon
v us now because wc have something
which you ought to know, whatever car you have
in mind.
