Neal from Pennsylvania then gave a vcrv interesting address on Odd Fellow ship and urged the. importance of al ways giving Wo gram! master uiejr undivided support in the upbuilding of the order. 15. F. Mulkey followed with some cr- interesting remarks on the beauties of Odd Fellowship, after which the second degree of Odd Fel lowship wai conferred on five candi dates by the Medford Degree staff in a very creditable manner. Mr. Harris of Hood lliver, then gave a beautiful lecture on Odd Fel lowship and illustrated the same with a splendid set of stcreopticon viows giying tho beauties of the practical as well as the ritualistio work in Odd Fellowship which was greatly appre ciated by all. Among the responses from the visiting lodges were L. Loud f Woodville, Mr. Treferen of Ashland, Lee Wat kins of ('antral Point, Clur enco Cummins 'of Grants Pass and others which were ablv given and highly appreciated by all present. Refreshments were then served in the banquet room after which all ad journed wishing to meet again soon. Initial steps wore taken during the evening towards holding semi-annual district conventions in sotithom Ore gon which wrts greeted by all as an other progressive steps in Odd Fel lowship. The Panama-Pacific international ex Ksltion was tlrst proposed by Mr. It. D. Hale, a merchant of San I'nuu Uro, In 1001. Mr. Hale wrote a letter to the Merchants' association, and the ldi-a took like wildfire.
