These ware all perfect specimens, beautifully clear skinned, and packed aixty to the box. Have been trying all over Oregon to get entries on sugar corn, but thus far haven't had a single entry. We can beat California, bands down, in this line. Every entry they have had, haa been wormy, and of very poor quality, from an Oregon standard. There is a splendid market here in San Franciaco for Oregon sugar corn. Rogue River Valley has shown more enterprise in exhibiting here for award than all the other diltricta of Oregon put together, lo date that district has had 68 entries of pears, 112 entries of peaches, several of cantoulopes, cur rants, raspberries, cherries, and vari ous varieties of vegetal lei. Coos county, at present, has a splen did exhibit of Gravenstein apples in my department, which is attracting a great deal of attention. In the meantime, I have a aign on our Hood Kiver display, stating “ these apples are all from last year's crop.” This is to offset the display of 1915 ap ples being shown by Idaho, New York, and Washington.
