Thomas and son, Ennls returned Monday from a two weeks trip with friends and rela tives at Walla Walla and ; Coeur d 'Alene. This year they have decided to keep the stores closed on Sunday and as a conse quence harvest supplies are being purchased through the week and the merchant Is given a chance to rest and become acquainted with his family. On last Saturday afternoon at the close of banking hours, E. D. Brown, of the Lexington Bank, locked the in ner door of the safe and on attempting to open the safe Monday morning, found that the combination would not work and as a consequence the door is yet locked. An expert will be sent for to open the lock and an entire new lock placed on the door. This Is the first time the door has been locked for several months as It had given trouble before, At the Council meeting last Monday evening, present Mayor, W. E. Leach, Councilmen, E. D.
