Science is contemplating the substi tution of the hearts of monkeys for those of men when the latter have worn cut the heart which Nature gave them. The life and conduct of some men is such as to make it certainty that they will not be losers by the proposed change, If the plan works successfully "chicken-hearted" prize fighters may liave an opportunity to change that useful organ of their physical system. Dorman, Owner. - Idleness never helps you into busi ness, my son; when you see a number yof boys idling away their moments on a street corner, never attempting to do a. little work and earn something for themselves, you ma guess at once that such boys when grown up will be the ones who wear the red noses and swollen eyes. They have no ambition in life higher than the life of a "tin horn" sport and will never make a shining light in the business affairs of life. , They are shiftless and lazy and reach their graves without a mark to show that the world is any better off for them having lived in it. Be up and doing, my boy, and in your old days when life is declining you can live at ease, while the youthful idler will find only privation and cool recep tions from the world.
