While some organiz- ers host events to raise money, vendors are pre- paring to sell their wares as holiday shoppers are starting to check their lists. Area bazaars feature everything from hand- crafted items and home- based business products to fine art and white ele- phant treasures. Upcoming holiday bazaars include: WOMEN’S ASSO- CIATION OF UMA- TILLA PRESBYTE- RIAN CHURCH: Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Umatilla Presbyterian Church, 14 Martin Drive. FRIENDS OF THE IRRIGON LIBRARY: Friday, Nov. 1 from noon to 6 p.m. and Satur- day, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Irri- gon branch of the Ore- gon Trail Library Dis- trict, 490 N.E. Main Ave. (541-922-0138). FAIR TRADE CRAFTS FAIR: Satur- day, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Presby- terian Church, 201 S.W. Dorion Ave., Pendleton. Clay Spence, 3, said he’s looking forward to being Woody from the “Toy Story” movies for Halloween this year. he main floor of the library may have been quiet Tuesday eve- ning, but the Lanham Room downstairs was bustling with halloween spirit during the third annual No-Carve Pumpkin Decorat- ing event. Walmart donated 100 pumpkins to the Hermiston Public Library, and children were invited to come per- sonalize them with stickers, markers, googly eyes and glitter. T I got screened.
