All fun and no-carve at the library

As people are prepar-
ing to hand out Hallow-
een candy, the first wave
of bazaar shopping is just
around the corner.
While some organiz-
ers host events to raise
money, vendors are pre-
paring to sell their wares
as holiday shoppers are
starting to check their
lists.
Area bazaars feature
everything from hand-
crafted items and home-
based business products
to fine art and white ele-
phant treasures.

have been quiet Tuesday eve-
ning, but the Lanham Room
downstairs was bustling with
halloween spirit during the third
annual No-Carve Pumpkin Decorat-
ing event.
Walmart donated 100 pumpkins
to the Hermiston Public Library, and
children were invited to come per-
sonalize them with stickers, markers,
googly eyes and glitter.
