Dale Duane Mowan, 77, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 in Boise, Ida- ho. He was born to Alva and Irene Mowan on January 13, 1940 in Ansel Township, Minneso- ta. They moved to Mowan Hermiston, Oregon in 1942, where Dale grew up. He worked hard as a meat cutter for 23 years. He then returned to school, graduated at the age of 50 as a registered nurse and worked until he retired at the age of 68. He enjoyed fly fishing, camp- ing, playing his beloved guitar and spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to enthusiastically take on a challenge, as he proved throughout his life. (Carpe Diem!) He was a proud Chris- tian man who loved life and fought a difficult bat- tle with cancer, never giv- ing up hope. He always thought of his family’s needs and his strong faith in our Lord gave his family their strength. Throughout his life there was always abundant music, laughter and love. He is survived by his wife, Irene Mowan; his daughters Tracey Brun- ning, Lonni Mowan and God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you And whispered “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you As you slowly slipped away And though we loved you dearly We couldn’t make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating Your tired hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. By Frances & Kathleen Coelho step-daughter, Linda Cromwell; Janet Mowan, mother of Tracey and Lon- ni; his sisters Joyce Rollins and Gail Perry.
