RECORDS A6 • HERMISTONHERALD.COM WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2017 SAFETY LOG TUESDAY, MAY 23 THURSDAY, MAY 25 3:14 p.m. - Death investigation requested at West Highland Avenue for a 48 year-old female. 9:09 p.m. - A suicidal subject was reported at Southwest 6th Street, Hermiston. 11:54 p.m. - A prowler was reported on the roof of a church at West Locust Avenue, Hermiston. 11:59 p.m. - A caller said a Hispanic male chased him by the laundromat on Southwest 11th Street with a knife. Offi- cers were unable to locate the person. 4:53 a.m. - A male and female were reported fighting at North 1st Street, Hermiston. 7:23 p.m. - A caller said last Saturday someone slashed the tires on her car, and today someone has spray painted her vehicle, at East Francolin Avenue, Hermiston. 10:26 p.m. - A caller said a male stabbed a tire, tried to get into the neighbor’s vehicle, and left. The incident occurred on West Highland Avenue. 4:10 p.m. - A fight occurred on North 1st Street, Hermiston. 4:10 p.m. - A runaway was reported at West Juniper Avenue, Hermiston. WEDNESDAY, MAY 24 7:07 p.m. - A caller reported her lit- tle sister was assaulted at East Dogwood Avenue, Hermiston. 11:03 p.m. - A caller reported that a prowler tried to open the doors of their apartment on Southwest 11th Street, Hermiston. FRIDAY, MAY 26 9:40 a.m. - An older female was walking around and yelling racial slurs on Southwest 3rd Street and West Locust Avenue, Hermiston. 1:42 p.m. - The caller was just at the water park on Northwest 7th Street, and was chased out by a female who was yelling racial slurs at them. 1:49 p.m. - A woman at Northwest Crestview Court has been receiving threatening texts from someone. 10:42 p.m. - A drunk driver was reported at East Highland Avenue and South Highway 395. SATURDAY, MAY 27 2:09 a.m. - A fight was reported at North 1st Street. 2:28 a.m. - Shots fired were report- ed at Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston. Two to three shots were heard in the area. (For more on this, see the story on Page A3.) 8:17 p.m. - A caller said someone at Oxbow Trail #2 broke the back and side windows of his vehicle, at West Elm Extension and Northwest 11th Street. SUNDAY, MAY 28 12:36 a.m. - A female was yelling for help at North 1st Street, Hermiston. 12:41 a.m. - A fight was reported at North 1st Street, Hermiston. 10:25 a.m. - Lifeways Crisis line reported a client is thinking about taking a kitchen knife to herself. The knife is in the kitchen and she is in her bedroom. The person is on Northeast 8th Street, Hermiston. 3:50 p.m. - A caller reported that her son has pushed her several times, at Southwest Desert Oak Drive, Hermiston. Five runaways were reported between 12:58 p.m. and 10:47 p.m. from different addresses in Hermiston. MONDAY, MAY 29 7:27 p.m. - A transformer short sparked a fire in a residential yard on E. Ridgeway Ave. Umatilla County Fire District 1 put out the blaze and Umatilla Electric repaired the transformer.
