Sign the online guest book at burnsmortuaryhermiston.com. 6:43 p.m. - A caller reported a vehicle struck a dog on the 1800 block of Sixth Street, Umatilla, which lost a leg and was running toward the police department,. 7:06 p.m. - A livestock owner on Ott Road, Hermiston, told the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office the location of the suspects who stole her four calves a few weeks ago. 8:05 p.m. - Storms uprooted a tree and pulled down a power line on Craig Road in Hermiston. 8:14 p.m. - A large conifer tree broke at its base and fell onto another tree and a power line in Hermiston. Pacific Power shut down the power to the line and firefighters were able to trim the tree and secure the line. 10:17 p.m. - A rollover accident occurred on Interstate 82 near Hermiston. A man reported he got the animal off the highway and corralled it. 12:53 p.m. - A Umatilla caller told police her dog got out of her yard on Fifth Street, and a neighbor tried to run her dog over. The dog owner hung up, and a dispatcher called back. The woman said the neighbor is her aunt, and she has been causing trouble. She said her aunt drove onto her property and tried to hit the dog. 1:47 p.m. - A grass fire burned 1/4 acre of property off Diagonal Road.
