While I have only skied once since having a knee replacement in 2005, I still dream about powder days. I got into skiing while run- ning residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Several clients had expressed an interest in Special Olympics skiing, so I became a coach. I met Buzz Fulton, a long- time ski instructor who died two years ago at the age of 93, at Spout Springs Ski Area. Receiving a 50-year member- ship pin from the National Professional Ski Instructors of America, he was a wealth of knowledge when it came to skiing. Over the years, I often ran into Buzz at Spout Springs and Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort — picking his brain on everything from techniques to proper attire. And then it happened. In ad- dition, it features a six-piece band that is a show in itself. The musicianship is second to none, and many of the play- ers have backed up or opened up for many of the original Motown artists, including other former members of the Temptations. The high-energy show, Shovelski said, will appeal to audiences of all ages. Many baby boomers, she said, grew up listing to Motown music. In addition, she said the show will appeal to younger people. ³, WKLQN WKH\ PLJKW ¿QG it really fun because of the synchronized dance and they have great musicians,” she said. “This is something they don’t get an opportunity to see very often.” Henderson, who sang with the group from 1998-2003, is one of the only Temptations lead singers to have received a Grammy, which was for the album “Phoenix Rising.” In addition, he performed with groups such as The Dramat- ics and Lakeside before being recruited in 1998 for the lead position in the Temptations. He has toured both domes- tically and internationally in front of tens of thousands of people, including the king and queen of Denmark.
