WEDNESDAY, MAY 13 • A caller reported two females were pounding on his vehicle and preventing him from leaving a parking lot on North First Street. • A teenage boy reportedly kicked a female on Southwest 13th Place. • A caller reported finding a hypodermic needle while cleaning up weeds on Southwest Ninth Street. • A Glock 23 .40-caliber pistol was reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked at Sand Station on Highway 730 in Umatilla. TUESDAY, MAY 12 • An intoxicated male reportedly stuck an Xbox con- troller in his pants at a store on North First Street. • Items were reportedly stolen from a residence on Southwest 11th Street. • A female reportedly failed to return a car after bor- rowing it on Southwest 11th Street. • A caller reported returning to a residence on West Madrona Avenue and finding all 14 of the caller’s chickens were dead. • On Second Street in Umatilla, a caller reported a male stole a child’s bicycle. • A male reportedly pointed a gun at a female at a residence in Umatilla. HHS awards honors medallions Hermiston High School awarded honors medal- lions to 31 students at the annual Evening of Excel- lence Wednesday. To re- ceive an honor medallion, students had to maintain at least a 3.5 grade point av- erage, complete at least 12 honors credits and pass the required state standard- ized tests.
