The concert is for, but not limit- ed to, any young people in third through sixth grade. The concert is free and will feature music, as well as an opportunity to learn what kinds of instruments make up a symphony. The Willow Creek Sym- phony is an Inland North- west Musicians Western-ori- ented youth/preparatory symphony comprised of ap- proximately 30 members. Student artwork on display at library An exhibit featuring the artwork of Hermis- ton School District middle school students is on dis- play at the Hermiston Pub- lic Library. A free reception is planned for the young artists from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the library, 235 E. Gladys Ave., Hermis- ton. The public is invited to view the art and visit with the student artists. Re- freshments will be served. Teachers David Larson, Armand Larive Middle School, and Nicole Cim- miyotti, Sandstone Middle School, selected the works of their students that are on display in the main library area. The student art display will remain through the end of the month. The library’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturdays. Booster club hosting steak dinner The Umatilla Boost- er Club’s eighth annual steak dinner and auction will take place Saturday at the Hermiston Conference Center.
