Prizes were won by Mrs. Ken. Ar- nold, Mrs. Joe Sabauco and Mrs. Glenn Ostrom. Others were Mrs. M. B. Eller, Mrs. Dean Newgard and the hostess. An 8 pound 11 ounce son was born to P.M 1/c and Mrs. Vane Hiatt at St. Anthony's in Pendle ton Saturday, April 7th. Mr. Hiatt who is stationed at Bremerton spent Sunday visiting the little lad. The local school held open house Friday afternoon and evening when there was a program. Mrs. Dale Montgomery and sons returned from a few days spent in Holdman at the home of her mother-in-law. Mrs. Maude Gugan. Clyde Montgomery, who was wounded in action several months ago, was home on a fur lough. Mrs. Ursel Hiatt and Mrs. Oli- ver McNabb spent Saturday in Pendleton. The local baseball team won the game from Weston Friday after noon 11-1. Mrs. Harry Seeley of Arlington spent the week end here visiting her husband. Mrs. M. B. Eller accompanied her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Presnell and Maxine to Colfax. Wash., where Maxine Miss Ruth Myers of Popular will undergo an oepration.
