Mrs Al Vieg entertained the
pinochle club at the home of Mrs.
Glenn Ostrom last Wednesday.
Prizes were won by Mrs. Ken. Ar-
nold, Mrs. Joe Sabauco and Mrs.
Glenn Ostrom. Others were Mrs.
M. B. Eller, Mrs. Dean Newgard
and the hostess.
An 8 pound 11 ounce son was
born to P.M 1/c and Mrs. Vane
Hiatt at St. Anthony's in Pendle­
ton Saturday, April 7th. Mr. Hiatt
who is stationed at Bremerton
spent Sunday visiting the little
lad.
The local school held open house
Friday afternoon and evening
when there was a program.
Mrs. Dale Montgomery and
sons returned from a few days
spent in Holdman at the home of
her mother-in-law. Mrs. Maude
Gugan. Clyde Montgomery, who
was wounded in action several
months ago, was home on a fur­
lough.
Mrs. Ursel Hiatt and Mrs. Oli-
ver McNabb spent Saturday in
Pendleton.
The local baseball team won the
game from Weston Friday after­
noon 11-1.
Mrs. Harry Seeley of Arlington
spent the week end here visiting
her husband.
Mrs. M. B. Eller accompanied
her brother and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Presnell and Maxine
to Colfax. Wash., where Maxine
Miss Ruth Myers of Popular
will undergo an oepration.
Grove spent the week end here

McKay and Marguerite McKay,
husband and wife, are the owners
of the following described land,
and that plaintiffs, James Rolen
and Ruth Rolen, husband and wife,
have an interest and estate in said
land under a contract to purchase
the same from said plaintiffs. J. D.
McKay and Marguerite McKay:
to-wit:
The east half of the west half
of the Northwest quarter of the
Northeast quarter of section 17,
township 4 North. Range 28, be­
ing east of the Willamette Mer­
idian, in the County of Uma­
tilla and State of Oregon.
And that plaintiffs, J. D. McKay
and Marguerite McKay, husband
and wife, are such owners, and
that plaintiffs, James Rolen and
Ruth Rolen, husband and wife,
have an interest in said land, free
from any right, title, estate, lien or
interest of defendants and of each
of defendants.
That defendants or any one or
more of defendants have no right,
title, estate, lien or interest in said
land, or in any part thereof, and
that defendants and each of de­
fendants, their heirs and assigns,
be perpetually restrained and en­
joined from asserting or claiming
any right, title, estate, lien or in­
terest in said land or in any part
thereof, adverse to plaintiffs.
This summons is served upon
you by publication thereof for four
successive weeks in the Hermiston
Herald, by order of C. L. Sweek,
Judge of the Court above named,
which said order was made and
dated the 5th day of April, 1945,
and the date of the first publica­
tion of this summons is the 12th
day of April, 1945.
