Nye, who will continue to operate the store along similar lines as heretofore. It is with deep regl et that I take this step, but feel that I can be of more service, both to myself and my country, in operating a ranch which I have recently purchased in Wallowa county. I am not turning my back on Hermiston but will maintain a home here and divide my time between the two places. Also I will continue to work hard but in a different atmosphere, a change which I feel I deserve and have earned. I wish to take this opportunity to thank my friends for their patronage and especially their friendship which I have enjoyed during my ten years in business here. I have thoroughly enjoyed my associations and hope that we may continue to remain true friends. I also wish that you will treat Sam and John the you have always treated me.
