On the 15th of this month a one- day course of instruction on the field test for pullorum disease in chickens will be given at Oregon State college, at the request of the state depart ment of agriculture. The session will start at 10 o’clock and is open, with the payment of a registration fee, to all those interested in complying with regulations for shipment of baby chicks into certain states, and for those desiring training for participa tion in the program of the Oregon Poultry Improvement association. The second meeting is the annual two-day fall session of the Oregon Baby Chick association and will be held in the Oregon City high school October 21 and 22, starting at 10 o’clock each day. The first day’s meeting is limited to members or prospective members of the associa tion. The program on the second day is open to the public and is arranged to be of benefit particularly to flock owners producing hatching eggs. Fred Cockell of Milwaukie, newly elected president of the International Baby Chick association, will be among the speakers, as will representatives of Oregon State college and others. MONKEY CIRCUS PLEASES STUDENTS By Elaine Fisher Rally day was observed at the Community church Sunday. All de partment of the church were repre sented on the program, each depart ment of the church and each class of the Sunday school had its motto and name on the wall and a talk was given on each. The program was fol lowed by a pot-luck dinner. Mr. Foerst took a group of FFA boys to Portland to attend the Pa cific International Livestock Show Friday and Saturday. A group of the high school boys hitch-hiked down and back. The senior class entertained the rest of the school with a party in the gym Tuesday night.
