Those elected for the ensuing year were Mrs. A rt Bousquet, president. Mrs. Fred Knud sen, vice president, Mrs. Pat Fitz patrick, secretary, and Mrs. Ben Spencer, treasurer. Mrs. H. A. Thompson o> Hermis ton, who recently underwent a minor operation at St. Vincents hospital, came from Portland to stay with her sister, Mrs. Pat Murphy. Mrs. Hugh Van Schoiack received word that her sister, Mrs. Clint H ar vey of Portland, who recently under went a serious operation, is progress ing very nicely but is still quite ill. The local school was dismissed Thursday afternoon until Monday for a short Easter vacation. Miss Cecilia Beyler and Ina Gil bert spent the week end in Portland where Miss Gilbert visited with her 6^4 cu. ft. brother who is very ill. The Senior class accompanied by the principal. Harold Regele, spent Thursday and Friday at Bingham Springs on a spring excursion. The Sophomore class and Mr. Mor ris enjoyed a theatre party Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Switzler and “ Bill’s” nurse, Betty McKenzie, re turned home from Portland last week after being gone about a week while Bill received medical attention. The Vikings baseball team defeat ed the Irrigon high school team 16 to 4 in the game played here Thursday afternoon. The local team is unde feated so far. Mrs. Oliver spent the Easter vaca tion in Walla Walla. Miss Sara Rix entertained the bridge club at her home Friday af ternoon. Mrs. Harold Regele and son re turned Sunday from Estacada after spending since Wednesday visiting her parents.
