McFarland of Umatilla at tended an Interstate Creameries association meeting in Portland two days last week. Enroute she will visit at Portland and Medford, Ore., and at Pan Francisco, Calif. Donald Williams and Harold Pace motored to Enterprise, Ore.. Mon day morning where they remained until Thursday visiting Mr. Wil- Hams’ father, R. H. Williams. Mrs. W. J. Warner returned Thurs day morning from Vancouver, Wn„ ' where she had spent several days visiting her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schofield. Her granddaughter, Patricia Schofield, returned with her for a short visit. Business visitors from Boardman Monday included Mr. and Mrs. J. II. Pruter, Chas. Dillon and son War ren, Chas. Grover, Minnie and Esther of La Grande were here Sunday and Mon day visiting bis sister and father, Mrs. Perry Arthur and Ben See, who lives with Mrs. Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. .1. G. Pearson are expected to return to Hermiston from Castle Rock about the first of the month to pack their belongings and move to their new location there. At such time the house will then be occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Win. Davis and family. The house now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Davis on the west side of town has been rented by Mr. and Mrs. C. D. They are moving rom Bralley. Calli., to a ranch near mapine. Mr. and Mrs. Cole lived it Stanfield about seven years ago. Mrs. Lauretta Belscamper who Ives tn the Columbia district, re- ceived word this week of the death of her niece, Mrs. Selina Ball, at her home in Fresno, Calif., Thursday, Mrs. Ball visited her February aunt here last summer and will be remembered by those who met her then. A birthday party In honor of Shirley Simons, Geo. Bancroft, Jr., and Lane Garrett was held at the home of Mrs. Geo. Bancroft Satur day afternoon. All three children celebrated their third birthday on that day. Other guests present were Frank Harkenrider, Francis Clarke, Lenore Bancroft and the mothers. A farewell social honoring Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Payne was given at the Gibbs home Wednesday evening. Games and a short program was enjoyed by the guests.
