Mr. Knight is Mrs. McMullen's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Richardson and daughter, Vivian, of Dallas. Oregon, spent the week end visiting Miss Pauline Stoop and Alfred Quirlng here. Mr. Richardson Is interested In the Hermiston Herald and while here did some hunting. He took sev eral birds back with him. Miss Stoop went us far as The Dalles with them Sunday morning where she visited with her sister, Mrs. Alfred Kohler. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Alqulst and son Kenneth have gone to Walder, Idaho where they will make their home. Mr. and Mre. A. E. McFarland have rMt«|r»ed home. O. "Murphy” Yuen who was called to Walla Walla because of the death of his brother returned home Sun day. John Bowman returned home from Soap Lape. Bill Switxler motored to Portland Monday. Mrs. Del Jackson of Portland vi sited friends here last week. Mre. Tom Tucker and son Joe have returned from a few days visit with relativos in Portland. Mre. Tammai of Seattle is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Stephens. Andrew Martin was suddenly called to Seattle last week because of the death of his father. The play, "A Full House” will be presented by the Umatilla High school, November 13, in the high school gymnasium. Donna Peck has returned to school after several weeks of Illness. Mona L qu Peck has gone to Walla Walla where she will attend school. The 500 Club met at the home of Mrs. Lew Brownell Tuesday after noon.
