He has been doing much car penter work. Mr. and Mrs. Hineline drove to Milton Friday and spent the day with Mrs. Williams, returning home in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Oavi spent sev eral days at the M. T. Matott home. They went to Pendleton Sunday where Mr. Oavi is now working. They make their home in LaGrande. Pilot Rock, Echo. Pleasant View, Thoruhollow, Pilot Rock, Columbia Grove, No. 43 and 63, Portland. The following report covers the months of January and February, as the county nurse was in Portland February first. Eight dental surveys were conduc ted by' local dentists at different schools over the country; 178 grade pupils, at Hermiston, were examined by Dr. F. V. Prime and Dr. W. L. Morgan, Dr, R. D. Elatchford, of Athena, cooperated in the health work by examining the grade child ren of Adams, Athena, and Weston. Dr. O. T. Harstad of Freewater, ex amined the pupils of the Freewater school and Dr. S. E. Allen of Pendle ton, accompanied the county nurse to Riverside, Mission, and Reith, to examine the children in those schools. A total of 693 grade and high school pupils benefited by this service; 528 grade and 13 high school students were found to have dental defects. The following schools were visited and the routine examination was given the pupils by the county nurse: Grove and Central schools In Milton. and school district No. 53.
