the county nurse was in Portland

Eight dental surveys were conduc
ted by' local dentists at different
schools over the country; 178 grade
pupils, at Hermiston, were examined
by Dr. F. V. Prime and Dr. W. L.
Morgan, Dr, R. D. Elatchford, of
Athena, cooperated in the health
work by examining the grade child
ren of Adams, Athena, and Weston.
Dr. O. T. Harstad of Freewater, ex
amined the pupils of the Freewater
school and Dr. S. E. Allen of Pendle
ton, accompanied the county nurse
to Riverside, Mission, and Reith, to
examine the children in those
schools. A total of 693 grade and
high school pupils benefited by this
service; 528 grade and 13 high
school students were found to have
