This highway la usually very good but has been rough for about two months due to the “wash board” condition, and the present operations will put the road in prime condition for the hay hauling season just now beginning. Bach season about 200 carloads of hay are shipped out of the Butter creek section alone. Miss Grace Jackson, who was a mem/ber of this yawr's graduating class of Hermiston HI, is now steno grapher and bookkeeper for the Ore gon Hardware Co., having entered upon her duties the first of last week.
