Laughter Pate Jche on the Fault-Finder COLUMBIA THEATER As long as life lusts, we shall find that troublesome, unplensant poesou who seems Incapable of saying a sin gle word without finding fault. And there’s nothing to choose en this point between men and women. Some of the former can be really bad at the game. For, after all. It Is a silly game, which may become a men ace to our peace of mind. It seems to be an Inseparable part of the mlud of some folk—this fault finding. Often It is based on mere nothings. There's one thing these pernickety people don’t like. They hate you very badly If you laugh at tbem. It upsets their rhythm. And most of the fault finders work to a rhythm. Pul them off It and they are undone. Of course, says London Chronicle, there are more ways than one of laughing at them. You don't need to laugh outright. A twinkle of the eye, a steady, amused look, a sly dig —metaphorically, of course, although • nice Eighteenth century one wouldn't be amiss sometimes—a bit of leg-pulltng; any of these methods are warranted to disturb the lines of at tack of these fanlt-flnders. No, Indeed; they can't stand being laughed at. HERMISTON ,0RE. for th e N ew Y ea r?
