Joy, ju sl completed. Division of tho loss gives tim ber killed $6375; logs destroyed $27,930; logging equipm ent destroyed $31,018, and losses to se ttlers and others $10,- 017. L ightning accounted for 219 fires, an unusually large proportion, while sm okers are blamed for 156; railroads 102; enm pers 91; brush burning 64; incendiarism 55; berry pickers 43; donkey engines 19; Jogging locomo tives 14; other lum bering operations 36; while 155 are ascribed to m iscel laneous causes.
