At this writing (Friday) Mrs Prindle is still alive, but in a verj low condition, and little hope is en tertained for her recovery. Illusion Dispelled There has been some comment or the supposed inferior quality of gas oline being sold in Hermiston the past week. Lays’ Garage had J. A Yaeger, inspector of weights and measures, test the gasoline in t heir tanks and also the measurement ol their new pump. The gasoline test ed 56.9, which is a good average and much better than has been sold dur ing the war. The pump gave fill measure (without ' adjustment) and was officially scaled. Tore Wc have just received two carloads of Ford Automobiles, and those who contemplate purchasing had better come at once and make their selections as they arc certain not to last long.
