Nothing daunted the girls of the domestic science department, who had prepared a rousing chicken dinner for the occa- sion, decided to turn tbe affair into a I “good roads day.” They accordingly sent their invitations to a number of men who were engaged in grading our streets with the result that there was 100 per cent of acceptance to tbe in vitations sent After a sumptuous dinner, in which more than thirty people participated, speech making became the order of the day and every member of the school board, the clerk included, made short talks, followed by talks from all the patrons present.
