SANDY POWELL VALLEY A double header basket ball game was played at Sandy W ednesday night betw een West Linn and the Sandy team s, the la tte r m eeting its first de feat of th e y ear when W est Linn scored 16 to 10. The Sandy g irls, how ever, p u t up a b etter fight and won over th e W est Linn g irls, 23 to 15. The Sandy high school band dis pensed its u su al fine b rand of music and th e home economic g irls served su p p er to th e p lay ers as is th e custom. The Sandy team was defeated 17 to 12 and th is w rests the county cham pionship from them by but five points. The g irls’ score stood 17 to 14 for W est Linn, although they have an o th er chance to play for the cham pionship , w hich will be done later.
