To be com mended on th ese th in g s is w orth m ore th an w inning all of th e gam es. The m ain reason for the su ccess of the team was the efforts of Coach K ruger. He had th e confidence of th e team and the p lay ers played as h ard as they could. A nother reason for th e success th is year w as th e com petition for places on the team . T he p lay ers had to play hard to stay in the gam e as they knew th e re w as a m an on th e bench to ta k e th e ir place. A lthough p rac tica lly the w hole team will g rad u ate, w ith th e experience the second team has had, and if Coach K ru g er is back, G resham should have a w inning team ag ain next year. At the beginning of the sec ond q u a rte r Coach K ruger gent in the ' first but P ark ro se objected so the sec ond w ent back to finish th e ir work. They sta rte d out with an ae rial attack and soon the score w a s .20-2 in favor of G resham , but P ark ro se w as not to be denied touchdow n. T hey came back and before th e final w histle blew they had scored a touchdown. The final score w as 20-8 in favor of G resh am. T he next gam e was w ith W est Linn seconds w hich ended, w ith a 6-0 vic tory for G resham . W est Linn re- , ceived th e kick off and sta rted a steady m arch to w ard s o u r goal. With th e ir back ag ain st the goal line the G resham line held W est Linn for downs. W est Linn seconds played good football the first h alf but w ere unable to score. The second half the G resham seconds showed a little of th e G resham sp irit and scored a touchdow n for th e only score of the game. On November 17 the second team w ent over to W est Linn to play an o th er gam e w ith the West Linn seconds. T he W est Linn boys scored a to u ch down In th e first q u a rte r but afte r th at they did not even th rea ten to score. The G resham boys w ere held from 1 scoring un til th e fourth q u a rte r, j F ighting an uphill b attle the Greah- ^ m ite s settled down to win. By a series o t long end ru n s the boys put j over two touchdow ns to win the game. I . B jur and O rville Johnson made some I ' long ru n s for yardage. The final j | score was 12-6 for G resham .
