Bankus, a resid en t of Oregon for th e past 36 y ea rs, died a t his home in P lea san t Valley Sunday, Ju n e 14, a fte r an illn ess extending over th e p ast year, although he had been bedfast p ractically hut a day be fore he passed aw ay. He first lived In M innesota, moving later to Iowa, and cam e to Oregon in 1889, living a t P le a sa n t Home until 1920 w hen he moved to th e P lea san t Valley locality w here he has since re sided w ith h is wife on a sm all ran ch .
