T his is a m otor ro u te 50.3 m iles in length and a t th e p re se n t tim e serv es 630 fam ilies. In o rd er to reliev e th e s itu a tion, a new ro u te h as been a rra n g e d from P o rtlan d to c a re for th e te rrito ry betw een Rockwood and th e A scot sec tion on th e Base L ine and Section L ine roads. T his new ro u te w ill also serve w h at is now th e w est end of R oute 2 from T ro u td ale, Oregon. The B eaver Bend section, fo rm erly served from T ro u td ale, w ill be tra n s fe rre d to T ro u td ale and served by R oute 2.
