SY N O PSIS OF PLAY A prize fight was the cause of it all. Ebeuezer Goodly, an elderly professor of Anatomy, was expecting a visit from hi« brother, the Bishop of B allarat whom he had not seen for th irty years. On the eve of the Bishop’s arrival G oodly’s pros pective son-in-law, Richard H eatherly, persuaded the Profes sor to go, in the interest of science, to see a prize tight. The police raid the hall and in an attem pt to elude them- Jones, a traveling salesman, joins Goodly and Richard and enters the Professor's house. As the police are hotly iu pursuit Jones m asquerades as the Bishop, and as such he is introduced to the other members of the family. N aturally, com plications arise, especially when Alvina S tarlight, Mrs. G oodly’s sister who lias been carrying on a secret correspondence with the Bishop, appears and tries to make love to the m asquerader. To make m atters worse the real Bishop arrives ami is m istaken for a lunatic who had re cently escaped from a nearby asylum- The real lunatic, who thinks himself an Indian chief then makes his appearance, dressed in blanket and feathers, and queer things “ H appen to Jo n e s’’ who, however, is alw ays master of the situation.
