Kathleen Greenup, Cameron Austin Moses By Giselle Moses Austin Moses, a 2019 Heppner High School grad- uate, graduated United States Marine Corps Ba- sic Training at the Recruit Training Depot in San Di- ego, California on October 15, 2021. Austin received the Expert Sharpshooter medal at the ceremony. His grandmother, Kath- ie McGowan was in atten- dance for the event. She spent the day with him on family day and reported how he stood tall and proud as he introduced her to his new friends. Austin is the son of Seth Moses. Hep- pner locals may remember him from Heppner Market Fresh where he worked as a cashier. Austin will spend the next month at Camp Pendleton for additional training.
