Oregon State Parks and Recreation recently notified the county of the award from the grant program. The $117,500 project will allow for improve- ments to existing primitive campsites at the OHV park, installing a new power sup- ply line to provide power to campsites in the D and E campsite areas. Park per- sonnel will be doing most of the work as a match for the project, with the exception of the items that require a licensed professional. As the popularity and usage of the OHV park con- tinues to grow, so do the re- quests and demands. Power to campsites has been one of the top requests received by the park. Those user and guest suggestions helped secure these grant monies to provide the upgrades.
