PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE Morrow County is look- ing for a volunteer to rep- resent the Ione area on the Morrow County Planning Commission. Planning Commissioners gener- ally serve four-year terms, however this recruitment is to fill a partial term which would end December 31, 2019. The Planning Commission generally meets once a month, alternating meeting locations between Heppner and Boardman. Duties of the Planning Commission include approving land use actions, maintaining the county’s subdivision and zoning ordinance, and working with the County Board of Commissioners to manage the county’s land use Comprehensive Plan. Interested parties residing in Morrow County who are interested in taking a more active part in land use planning in the county are encouraged to submit a letter of interest to the Morrow County Planning Department, PO Box 40, Irrigon OR 97844, by close of business Friday, January 4, 2019. RP advised he must have been taking too long to pass and car behind him flipped him off and shook their fist, then got in front and hit the brakes. RP thinks she is having a mental issue at this time because she is talking to herself. -MCSO received a re- port at Sinclair Station on W Main St that a RP saw a male drink out of a can in a green Dodge 4X4 headed toward Ione, Getting onto the gravel, swerving in and out of the lane. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port of a burglary on Water St. -MCSO received a re- port at Kunze Ln/Toms Camp Rd of an ATV, no helmet, going fast, more than 25 mph with a child. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 74 that a blue SUV hit a deer, no injury. Deputy responded, no in- jury or damage to vehicle, deer deceased on arrival. ODOT advised. that RP is missing his three dogs. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Third St that there is a dog in the area that has been barking all day. -MCSO received a re- port on Linden Way that a deer is stuck in the back yard fence, tangled by the neck. Deer got freed on its own. -MCSO received a re- port on Steagall Rd that a neighbor is causing a dis- turbance, parties separated. Deputy made contact, no crime committed. September 29: Mor- row County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Sand Hollow Rd that his hunt- ers saw another vehicle of hunters trespassing on his property. RP would like extra patrols. -MCSO received a re- port at Mill Zone on Hwy 74 that she can see subjects in the mill zone property walking down towards the creek. The subjects have guns, but unknown if they have permission to hunt there. Subject had permis- sion through Port of Mor- row. -MCSO received a re- port at Morrow County OHV park, Forest Service 21 Road, Heppner of a UTV in the area with firearms in the vehicle. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on Paul Smith Rd that there is a vehicle parked in his driveway and he is not sure why. Deputy re- sponded. Subject was help- ing a next door neighbor, no issue. -MCSO received a re- port at Sunflower Flat.22 Rd that an elderly subject had not been seen all day. Deputy responded. The subject had been sleeping and is fine. -MCSO received a re- port at Bull Prairie camp- ground of a theft of a quad while hunting in the Fos- sil unit. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W of a driving complaint with a black Corvette. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a report on SE Utah Ave that a maroon Ford Taurus went down Utah then down Brendon and goes at an excessive speed. No way it was able to stop at the stop sign. Unfounded. -MCSO received a re- port at Morrow County OHV Park on Forest Ser- vice 21 Rd of a fire. Re- ferred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port at Irrigon Marina on NE Seventh St of one ve- hicle at the location. Wants them advised park is closed after dark and they need to leave the area. One unoc- cupied vehicle in the park. September 30: Mor- row County Sheriff’s Office received a report at Mill Zone on Hwy 74 that RP found a brown dog with orange collar and blue cow tag, very friendly. Female advised she is not familiar with the dog. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave that a female in a black 4 door Jeep ran stop sign and then started yelling at him. Un- able to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Chase St that his seven week chocolate lab puppy has been missing since last night. -MCSO received a report on SE Utah Ave concerned they were coping out car parts. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W that a semi behind her can not main- tain lane. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port on Montana Ln that his neighbor’s bull keeps tearing down the fence and getting on his property. Deputy made contact with animal owner. They were advised of closed range and will move the animal until they can get the fence sorted out. -MCSO received a re- port on Linden Way that the neighbor’s dog is in his back yard and it has been an ongoing issue. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Main Ave/N first St that a white Honda with four males is going around in circles, headed east. Un- able to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at Green Acres on Pat- erson Ferry Rd that James’ wife is harassing her. Two subjects trespassed from RP location. -MCSO received a re- port at River Lodge and Grill on Marine Dr E that someone broke into a car, no one was seen in the area. October 3: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report at Columbia River Ranch on Kunze Ln that client left the facility and said she was going for a walk. Staff member tried to talk the client into returning but client refused. Female was located and transported to GSH. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 74 that RP hit a horse with his semi. RP declined medical and advised his vehicle is driv- able. Advised the horse is still alive but is back behind him somewhere. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W that a semi is driving recklessly, fol- lowing the RP and flipping her off and rolled down his window and is flashing his lights at RP. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port of a suicidal subject at Irrigon High School on SE Wyoming Ave. -MCSO received a re- port at Green Acres on Pa- terson Ferry Rd of subject who has slit her wrist and is walking away from the house.
