Thanks to all the weekly volunteers and their subs who provide games, a book club provided by the Oregon Trail Library, mu- sic, crossword puzzles and arts and crafts. Some unexpected music was provided by Pauline Matheny’s daughter when Pauline celebrated her birthday at the Terrace. We received lots of lo- cal produce from gardens all summer and a very, very substantial amount of meat, including a whole beef, pork and lamb. Also, at fair time we received a whole pig. The “Mustang Mop Up” was a tremendous help in sprucing up the Terrace. In addition to the usual win- dow cleaning, they built a brick surround for some of the utility tanks. Within the Terrace we have a beauty salon and lo- cal hair stylists who come to our facility when called, thus making it very conve- nient for the residents. The Loop is also a great service, making it pos- sible for residents to attend church, doctors’ appoint- ments, senior meal site and other outings around town. A big day recently was “Rock the Longest Day,” to support the Alzheimer’s Association. It took quite a bunch of volunteers to pull this off. Thanks to every- one who helped that day. Special thanks to the Bank of Eastern Oregon for pro- viding the lunch. Thanks to the Home Health and Hospice nurs- es who provide their ser- vice to us. We would also like to thank the Morrow County Health District for their continued support and services of nursing, maintenance and adminis- tration. Our own staff, in addi- tion to the personal care and needs of the residents, can be found filling in for volunteers and providing extra activities like Tai Chi and morning activities that exercise mind and body. Volunteers have helped to maintain the plants in our new front yard and re- cently we were gifted with furniture for our respite room. We are a blessed facility with a caring community that truly appreciates hav- ing a local assisted living. Our front door is open to visitors. If you haven’t been up to see us, come and see what we are about. Thanks again for all your support. The Willow Creek As- sisted Living 11-14-1c I would like to thank friends and family for at- tending the service for Franklin Gentry, the flow- ers, gifts, cards and food. Everything is much appre- ciated. Raelene and Dawna Gentry 11-14-1p Ione Community Agri- Business Organization (ICABO) would like to thank Morrow County and specifically the Public Works/Road Department. Your assistance in the re- cent paving project in Ione has been greatly appreci- ated. Thank you! 11-14-1c variable and wage DOE.
