Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, December 6, 2017 - FIVE Sheriff’s Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office has released the following information: November 20: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report on SE Ninth St, Irrigon of motion in the garage. -MCSO received a ju- venile complaint at Irrigon High School on SE Wyo- ming Ave, Irrigon. -MCSO received a re- port at Irrigon Marina on N First St/NW Washing- ton Ave, Irrigon that there are two bunches of leaves dumped at the location and he is concerned that people are using it as a dump area. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Division St, Irrigon regarding someone who is trespassing on their property who wasn’t invited and has been living in his trailer. RP advised that the subjects have been there for a couple days and he has been telling them they need to leave. -MCSO received a re- port on Tews Ln, Ione that there is a vehicle on the property. RP checked the property and nothing was disturbed, but would like the subject trespassed. -MCSO received a re- port at Pioneer Ln/Moun- tain View Dr, Boardman that 15-20 goats are cur- rently meandering down Pioneer Pl towards Kunze. Would like deputy to re- spond before they are hit by traffic. Not a hazard, owner is coming to move them. -MCSO received a ju- venile complaint at Hep- pner Grade School, NE Stansbury St, Heppner. -MCSO received a re- quest for a welfare check at Cornerstone Gallery and Gift, N Main St, Heppner. -MCSO received a re- port at I 84 E, Boardman of three vehicles in the me- dian. Vehicle was towed to Bombing Range/Wilson to await tow out of Hermiston. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W/Paterson Ferry, Boardman of a dis- abled vehicle. OSP advised to tag for tow. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Court St, Hep- pner that his neighbor’s dog’s puppies are getting out constantly and he is tired of putting them back in all the time. Deputy made contact with the owner and they will make sure the dog stays inside. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a silver/grey Dodge Stratus flew down towards Seventh. -MCSO received a re- port on Frontage Ln of a fire near the location, un- sure if Umatilla or Morrow County. November 21: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report on S First St, Irrigon that a 2007 Dodge Caliber car is missing. Saw it yesterday, believes two subjects have something to do with it. Keys are not missing, they must have hot-wired it. -MCSO received a re- port at Irrigon Elementary School on SE Wyoming Ave, Irrigon that subjects on Knapp St are making threats to shoot students if they come on their property when walking to school. -MCSO received a re- port on Canal Ln, Board- man that a yellow lab has been in the area for a week or so and would like a dep- uty to pick it up. No collar or tags. The dog has scars on the right side. Dog was transported to pet rescue. -MCSO received a re- port at SE Seventh St/SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that a gray Chevy van with a mis- matched door was picking garbage out of the dump- ster. RP advised the sub- ject was at the bar picking up cigarette butts earlier. Wants the van looked for as RP believes they are up to no good. Deputy made contact with the driver, subject was picking up cans and recycling. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 E, Boardman of ATL homicide suspect out of Lewiston is in the area. Suspect vehicle is a red 1996 Corolla. Suspect was located in Umatilla County, MCSO responded for assistance. -MCSO received a re- port at Columbia Ln/W Fourth Rd, Irrigon that dogs were found. Dogs trans- ported to pet rescue. -MCSO received a re- port on Tower Rd, Board- man that a deceased deer is in the road two or three miles from the interstate. There is a high volume of traffic and the animal is causing vehicles to swerve or slowdown and other ve- hicles are not seeing them. -MCSO received a re- port at SE Brandon St/SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that a black 4-door car was just speeding down the street. Male driver just pulled into the new doublewide that they are putting in on SE Brandon St. RP would like the driver spoken to about his driving habits. Deputy located vehicle. Subject ad- vised he was not speeding. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 E, Boardman that a gray SUV is driving erratically and crossing the lines. Referred to OSP. -MCSO received a re- port at SE Tenth St/SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that deputy met a gray Toyota pickup in the area and after he turned RP heard the pickup spin his tires at Tenth. -MCSO received a re- port at NW Gale St/NW Church St, Heppner that her Send out your Christmas wishes to your customers and the community! The dog has a blue collar with her name and number. -MCSO received a re- port at Highway 207 Echo, Lexington that something is in the lane of travel. Re- moved object. November 22: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report at Threemile Canyon Farms office on Threemile Rd, Boardman thatthey had a 1993 F350, silver 4-door, diesel tank in the back at the site yester- day afternoon about 4:30, but was gone this morning. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 207 Echo, Echo that a small older white car with Heppner colors tassel hanging from the mirror has been there for four days. -MCSO received a re- port of a disable vehicle at Frontage Ln/Paterson Ferry Rd. Subject had a belt issue and a mechanic is on the scene. -MCSO received a re- port that Julia R Krauss was arrested by OSP on MCCC warrant.Bail $250,000, lodged at UCJ. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 E, Boardman that an older Chevy Blazer with front end damage was failing to maintain lane and almost hit them. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Court St, Hep- pner advising that a female is harassing her, has threat- ened to and attempted to assault her. -MCSO received a re- port on NW Washington Ave, Irrigon that her dog was bit by her neighbor’s dog. -MCSO received a re- port at Looslie Auto Body on W Main St, Lexington that he has a dog in his parking lot that looks like it was hit by a vehicle. Dog is possibly a border collie mix of some sort. -MCSO attempted to locate a small white fluffy dog at Sinclair Station, W Main St, Lexington. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W, Boardman that driver has been tail- gated by a tractor trailer for the past few miles. OSP advised. November 24: Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a report on Kunze Ln, Boardman that she has a yard full of black cows that do not belong to her. -MCSO received a re- port pm O 84 E, Boardman that approximately five minutes ago a driver was falling asleep at the wheel of older red van. Saw the driver who was trying to fight falling asleep. -MCSO received a report at Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store on Tower Rd, Boardman that a female was dragged from her vehicle on I82, is now at the Love’s and doesn’t feel safe. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Court St, Hep- pner that the neighbors dogs aren’t cared for, are mal- nourished and constantly get out of the yard. -MCSO received a re- port at Blake Ranch Rd/ Willow Creek Rd, Heppner that a spike elk was recently shot in the head. Located about 1 to 1.5 miles up Blake Ranch Rd on the left hand side. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port on Depot Ln, Irrigon that she is worried about a female that is mentally disabled. Advised that the female is not being fed, that should not be happening be- cause the female gets food stamps. Advised there are two females being cared for at the residence, she is un- sure how the other female is cared for. -MCSO received a re- quest on W Fourth Rd, Irrigon for a deputy to as- sist her in getting her dog. Advised the mother is tell- ing her to come get the dog and now won’t let her on the property to get the dog. -MCSO received a re- port on Black Mountain Ln, Heppner that she has a tractor crawler missing from her property. -MCSO received a report on Park Ave NW, Boardman that her hus- band fell. While trying to get more information she advised that her husband was fine and that no EMS was needed. -MCSO received a fire call on Columbia Ln, Ir- rigon. Fire on their field on Oregon St. Controlled burn. -MCSO received a re- port on NW Washington Ave, Irrigon that he heard 2-3 shots, possibly from a rifle. -MCSO received a re- port at JVB Dairy on Morter Ln, Ione of a possible fire. No fire, controlled burn. -MCSO received a re- port at NW Church St/ NW Gale St, Heppner that person was causing a dis- turbance. She advised that she saw one of his kids with a bike that belongs to her child. When she turned around to make contact the kid left but person started to cause a disturbance by hitting her pickup windows and threatening her. Both parties were talked to. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that 68 year old male was possibly having a heart attack. Transported to GSH. November 25: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report at Hwy 730/ Paterson Ferry Rd, Irrigon of a multi vehicle accident. One vehicle is blocking road south of Hwy 730 on Paterson Ferry. Two trans- ported to GSH. -MCSO received a re- port on E May St, Heppner that there is an archery bow on her front porch and she doesn’t know who owns it. -MCSO received a re- port on Brace Rd, Irrigon that a female named Ve- ronica is refusing to leave residence. Male and female left willingly after deputy responded. -MCSO received a re- port at Irrigon Elementary School on SE Wyoming Ave, Irrigon that there is a fight in progress involving several subjects. They are having an indoor soccer match. RP is unable to get them to stop. Deputy responded and subjects are no longer there. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 395 S, Ukiah that a tan Ford Ranger is all over the roadway headed north. -MCSO received a re- port on I84 W, Boardman that there are 7-8 bulls on the north side of I84 two miles east of Tower Rd. The train that reported the bulls on the line has already passed the bulls. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 E, Boardman that a truck driver is going on and off the road. Semi has a white trailer, Sylvia on the orange cab. OSP advised. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that his neighbors have company over and they are parked with the rear end in the middle of the street. -MCSO initiated activ- ity at Smileys Happy Place, Boardman Ave NW, Board- man. Jose Antonio Pena Jr was arrested on BPD and MCSO warrant. Subject was lodged at UCJ, no bail. -MCSO received a re- port from a suicide hotline stating Kaylee is on the line discussing suicide with no plans of action. Advised MCSO dealt with her a couple months ago and was able to find where she is located. -MCSO attempted a traffic stop at Kangaroo Court Ln, Irrigon, not stop- ping. Joseph Lee Swope arrested on MCSO and UCSO warrant. Subject was lodged at UCJ with $35,000 bail. November 26: Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a report on I 84 E, Boardman that 20 year old male driving a white vehicle, on the corner of the off ramp crashed onto the guard rail. -MCSO received a re- port on Summit Ln, Board- man that a 16 year old male is unable to see anything, lips are white, can’t move well, coordination is off. Ate some brownies yester- day that he made. -MCSO received a re- port that a person would like to turn herself in on a warrant. Would like phone contact first so she can have her brother come over and stay with her uncle. Karen May Rice arrested on Uma- tilla County warrant, cited and released to appear. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Court St, Hep- pner that there is a three legged deer in the neighbors yard that is very thin and eating grass. Advised that we would let fish and wild- life know. -MCSO received a re- port at Baseline Ln/Hwy 207 Echo, Lexington that he was on Baseline and during the double yellow sections that are on the hills before you get to Hwy 207 there was a Sierra p/u with two male subjects and a white Mazda that passed him in a double yellow. When he got up over the hill, the pickup almost went head on with a vehicle that was going west on Baseline. RP advised that the vehicle had to get completely off the road and that when he passed the female that was driving looked to be in shock and frightened horribly. The female completely stopped her vehicle. RP advised that the white car came very close to hitting the vehicle as well. RP followed the two vehicles, advised they were going at least 70 the entire way and continued to drive fast and recklessly. Followed to Space Age and got their license plates. Female from the white car had an attitude when she realized that he was taking down their vehicle infor- mation. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a silver Durango or Jeep traveled down Utah heading towards Tenth go- ing at least 45 mph. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on Willow Creek Rd, Heppner of a single vehicle MVA, female is out of the vehicle. Vehicle is off the road and rolled. Female was transported to PMH. -MCSO received a re- port at Turkey Shoots on SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that there are three dogs in the turkey shoot. Seem to be friendly dogs, reported to the deputy that he was afraid the dogs would scare the kids in the turkey shoot. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a green Chevy Cavalier went flying by his house. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at Green Acres on Pat- erson Ferry Rd, Irrigon that his trailer was broken into. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Eighth St, Ir- rigon that there are subjects that are fighting. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Tenth St, Irrigon that yesterday they had someone try to open their front door. PMH adds new procedure suite Russ Nichols, M.D. prepares to cut the rib- bon on Pioneer Memorial Hospital’s new procedure suite as members of the procedure team stand by. The new suite is spacious and contains a sterilization room within it. Patients will once again be able to get their upper and lower endoscopies performed at PMH without having to travel to out of town fa- cilities for them. The suite will also be used for other medical procedures at the hospital. “We are extremely ex- cited to bring endoscopy services back to PMH.
