After the game in a very sad Mustang locker room, Heppner coach Jer- emy Rosenbalm told his team how very proud of them he was. He stated what a pleasure it was to come to practice every day and work with such an outstanding group of young men. He especially thanked the five senior boys on the team, Kolby Currin, Logan Grieb, Caden Hedman, Jake Lind- say and Kevin Murray, for their leadership and dedi- cation to the program. He pointed out that this group has been playing together since the third grade and has had much success over the years and will be missed. He then challenged the un- derclassmen in the room to follow the seniors’ lead and work hard in the offseason to make sure the Mustang team would be back at the tournament next year. After many tears, hand- shakes and hugs the team exited the locker room to- gether as a team one last time.
