Christian church to have services in Lonerock this week Heppner Christian Church will hold services this week, May 29, at 11 a.m. at the Lonerock Community Church. A potluck will follow the service. The commencement speaker is Juan Felipe Her- rera, a social activist and the irst Mexican American to hold the position of United States Poet Laureate. The $10 bag sale for clothing and shoes will take place Wednesday, June 1. All other merchandise is 50 percent off that day. The new book room and dressing room are completed and open to the public, and the center can now accept small donations from the community. Larger donations will be accepted beginning Tuesday, May 31.
