Weddings Morter, Guardado exchange vows in California ceremony Obituaries Richard G. ‘Dick’ Devin Sr. Richard G. “Dick” Devin Sr., 64, of Kenne- wick, WA passed away in Richland, WA on April 10, 2016, with his three kids at his side. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 15, 1 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, OR. He was born in Jack- sonville, FL on August 31, 1951, to Glenn and Dar- lene Devin. He spent most of his childhood in North Bend, OR, attending high school there. He eventually transferred and graduated from South Umpqua High School in 1969. That same year, he joined the family business and Standard Oil. He married Sandra “Sam” Janssen in 1970. Later that year, they had their first child, Richard Jr., and over the next seven years added two more, Doug and Renee. They lived in Myrtle Creek, OR, surrounded by both sides of the extended family, until 1974, when they moved to Crescent City, CA. In 1978, Devin Stanield band offers seats to Broadway musical The Stanield Band Department is offering community members the chance to see the award-winning Broadway musical “The Lion King” at the Keller Auditorium in Portland, OR on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016. The ceremony was held at Muckenthaler Mansion, Fullerton, CA. Chelsie Morter’s parents are Roger and Carla Morter of Heppner. Chris Guardado’s parents are George and Mariah Guardado of Quartz Hill, CA. Pastor Aaron Harrell oficiated. Panagiota Hatzis of Costa Mesa attended the bride as maid of honor. The bridesmaids included friend of the bride Molly Felix of Costa Mesa, and sisters of the bride Julie Myers of Big Sandy, MT and Kailey Morter of Hermiston, OR. The chosen lower girl was the bride’s niece, Hadley Morter of Bonners Ferry, ID. The groom chose his brother, Andrew Guardado of Costa Mesa, to be his best man. The groomsmen included the groom’s friends, Chris Hanson of Irvine, CA, and Matt Barlow and Nathan Contreras of Costa Mesa. The bride started her education at Hermiston Christian School and inished at Vanguard University. She now teaches physical education and coaches CrossFit. The groom started his schooling at Quarter Hill High School and later went on to go to Brooks College in Long Beach, CA. Fowler named to fall dean’s list at Paciic University FOREST GROVE, OR—Bryce Fowler of Heppner has been named to the dean’s list at Paciic University for fall semester 2015. Fowler is among 411 undergraduate students at Pa- ciic University to achieve this academic honor. To qualify for the dean’s list at Paciic, a student must achieve a term grade-point average 3.70 (4.0 scale) and complete 12 or more graded hours.
