Births Rita Josephine McNamee—Abe and Kristi McNamee an- nounce the birth of a daughter, Rita Jose- phine McNamee. She was born December 15, 2015 at 7:58 a.m. at St. Anthony Hos- pital in Pendleton, OR. She weighed 6 Rita Josephine McNamee pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 inches long. Rita joins sister Klynn McNamee, 7, and brothers James McNamee, 5, and Richard McNamee, 3. Grandparents are Bob and Pam Warden of Heppner and Pat and Vickie McNamee of Irrigon. Great-grand- parents are Grace Morin, Portland, OR and Josephine McNamee, Madras, OR. First Friday Friends of Jesus this week The January session of First Friday Friends of Jesus will be held this Friday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the All Saints Parish Hall. Children ages four through 12 are invited for a morning illed with Bible stories, crafts, games and a free lunch. Newcomers are always welcome. Evelyn Daniels Johnston Campbell Evelyn Daniels Johnston Camp- bell, 78, formerly of Ione, died Thurs- day, December 17, at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. Evelyn A Celebration of Campbell Life will be held at 1 p.m., January 16, at First Christian Church, 432 Ferry St. SW, Albany, OR. EQIP signup deadline fast approaching The USDA Natural Re- sources Conservation Ser- vice (NRCS) offers techni- cal and inancial assistance to private landowners and producers interested in pre- serving natural resources on the land. NRCS has established priority working area in the Lower Little Butter Creek and Sandhollow wa- tersheds. Assistance may be available to help landown- ers implement conservation activities such as fence in- stallation, prescribed graz- ing, spring development and more on rangeland. Shared Ministry celebrates another new well This Sunday, Jan. 10, the Shared Ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and All Saints Episcopal Church will celebrate completion of their ifth well through Living Water International at All Saints Parish Hall be- ginning at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The celebra- tion will include a potluck featuring Haitian foods, photos and stories from Haiti, and a small bazaar with Haitian crafts for sale, with proceeds being applied to the churches’ ongoing well-drilling ministry. The evening’s events will begin at 6 p.m. in the HES library. Parents, students and friends of the Morrow County School District are invited to attend a night illed with ice cream, entertainment and chance to learn more about the English Language Learners (ELL) and Heroes programs. Community lunch menu Willow Creek Baptist Church members will serve lunch on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at St. Patrick’s Senior Center. Lunch will include parmesan crusted ish, rice pilaf, sunshine carrots, green salad, garlic bread sticks and cinnamon pudding. Milk is served at each meal. Suggested donation is $3.50 per meal.
