A d e p u ty responded, but was unable to locate the vehicle. -M C S O r e c e iv e d request for an ambulance for a 51-year-old woman who was unconscious, lone Ambulance, Heppner A m bulance and MCSO responded. -MCSO Sheriff advised he was out with a disabled v eh icle on Hwy. 730, lrrigon. The vehicle had no right rear tire. -M C S O r e c e iv e d report of a cold burglary in Heppner. The food donated was from a joint food drive with Heppner FFA and Les Schawab in January. The kids took nearly 700 pounds of food with them; the other half of the food collected will be donated to the Neighborhood Center, Heideman said. She called back to say the dog had returned. -MCSO received report from the same Heppner w om an that her nine- month-old cat was missing. He had a red collar. -MCSO received report of an older Chevy pickup with wood side rack driving by an lrrigon residence at a high rate of speed. J a n u a ry 7: Morrow County Sheriff's Office received report o f two vehicles in the ditch on Hwy. 730 lrrigon. Everyone appeared to be out of the vehicles. -MCSO received report of a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 730 lrrigon. The driver said he did not feel any pain. MCSO. Boardman Fire Department, lrrigon Ambulance responded. -M C S O D e p u t y advised came up on another accident on Hwy. 730, lrrigon with no injuries. -MCSO received report of a two accidents on Hwy. 74, Lexington. -M C S O r e c e iv e d report o f a transform er possibly blown outside Pioneer Memorial Clinic in Heppner. -MCSO received report from a woman in lrrigon that she had received a phone call stating that her Mastercard may have been compromised. No money had been taken out of her account, however. DA’s Report M o r r o w C o u n ty D istrict Attorney Justin Nelson has released the following report: -Z achary Law rence Bartz, 21, was convicted of one count of Unauthorized Use o f a Vehicle, a Class C felony; the defendant’s license was suspended for one year and Bartz was sentenced to 26 months prison time with credit for time served, and one year post-prison supervision. In addition, B artz was co n v icted o f C rim inal M isch ie f I, a C lass C felony, and sentenced to 26 m onths prison time with credit for time served, time to run concurrent with the previous count and consecutive to any other sentences. The defendant was also sentenced to tw o y ears p o st-p riso n supervision. In addition, Bartz was convicted of Crim inal M ischief II, a C lass A m isdem eanor, s u b je c t to fin e s and restitution. Additionally, the defendant was convicted of Failure to perform Duties o f a D river, a C lass C felony, and his d riv er’s license was suspended for one year. A dditionally, Bartz was convicted o f two counts o f Assult IV, a Class A misdemeanor, subject to fines. In addijion. Bartz was convicted o f Reckless Driving, a Class A misdemeanor, and his driver's license suspended for one year. Additionally, the defendant was convicted of recklessly endangering another person, a Class A misdemeanor, and his driver's license suspended for one year. Finally, Bartz w as c o n v icted o f one count of Resisting Arrest, a Class A misdemeanor, and sentenced to five years bench probation, to include six months jail time with credit for time served and to run consecutive with tim e serv ed on o th e r counts. Total fines, fees, assessments and restitution were $15,888.55. -Deanne Kay Kasten, aka Dee Burch, 49, was convicted o f two counts o f T heft II, a C lass A m isdem eanor; on each count a sentence of 180 days jail time was suspended and the defendant sentenced to 24 months bench probation, to include 40 hours of com m unity service and a written apology to the victim. In addition, the defendant was convicted of Theft I. a Class C felony, and sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, to include a w ritten letter of apology to the victim, theft counseling and 80 hours o f communit y service. Defendant may be eligible for misdemeanor treatment upon successful completion of probation. In addition, Kasten/Burch was convicted of rheft I, a Class C felony, and sentenced to 18 months supervised probation subject to 90 sanction units with 30 jail units, to include a written letter o f apology to the victim, theft counseling and five sanctioned units to be converted to 80 hours o f communi t y service.
