The club provides fair and competitive track and field events for youth ages 5 to 12 in our community. It is designed to encourage max imum participation at a low cost, provide an educational experience, and enhance physical and mental condi tioning. Children learn to have firn while developing track and field talents. He said that the subject’s car was parked at the time, but he knew the man would end up driving again. -MCSO received report of a male stopped on the side of the road by a mo torcycle on Hwy. 207/Lex- ington. The female caller thought it was suspicious. -MCSO deputy report ed he was out with Com munity Counseling to help with pickup of a client in Bpardman. „ ,i,-MCSO received & re quest for a check done on a used pistol the Irrigon subject was looking at pur chasing. -MCSO received re port of a pickup swerving all over the road on 1-84 Boardman and crossing the center line around eight times. The call was referred to Oregon State Police. -MCSO received a hold up alarm from the Bank of Eastern Oregon, lone. On call back, a female said everything was fine and kids had been playing with the phone. -MCSO received a re quest from a Boardman woman for a box of plastic band-aids to be delivered to her location. MCSO staff determined that no response was needed. -M CSO cited Trent Doyle Cannon, 19, for Fail ure to Obey Traffic Control Device in Heppner. He was also given a verbal warning for speed racing and exhibition of power on Fuller Canyon Lane/Spruce Lane. -MCSO cited Bryan Alejandro Zurita Ramirez, 19, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 80 mph in a 55 mph zone on Bombing Range Rd. -MCSO Deputy advised he was on a walk and talk foot patrol in Heppner for the Irish boxing smoker. -MCSO Deputy report ed he was out with a suspi cious vehicle parked along Hwy. 207 Heppner. -M CSO Deputy ad vised that two deer hit the patrol car by the old Kinzua Mill site in Heppner. No one was injured. -MCSO received report o f a 53-year-old missing woman from a Boardman residential facility. The subject was last scene on foot headed into town with another resident. The other resident made it back, but the subject did not. The re porter said that she needed to have.an on-call crisis team call and speak with her. -MCSO Deputy report ed he was on Main Street in Heppner for a bar check. -MCSO received report o f a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident with a sub ject with a head injury and his head bleeding on Main Street and Kunze Lane in Boardman. MCSO arrested Jose Garcia Martinez, 57, for DUII with a blood al cohol content o f .11. He was also cited for Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. -MCSO received re quest for extra patrol on Hager St. in Heppner. -MCSO received re quest from an employee at a bar in Heppner to respond to check the ID of a subject trying to get into the bar. The employee reported that the subject had a paper ID and could not accept it until a deputy runs a check to confirm the subject was of age. A deputy responded. -Irrigon Ambulance re ceived report of a 50-year- old male with a possible heart attack, feeling ill with pain in his back. The sub ject refused transport. -Irrigon A m bulance received report of a female who said her chest felt very tight and said she had fainted two days earlier. March 16: MCSO gave a subject a verbal warning for offensive littering on Morrow County Public Works is accepting sealed bids for the following surplus vehicles. The parties were separated. -MCSO cited Richard Glover Peck, 77, for Per mitting Unlawful Operation of a Motor Vehicle. -MCSO received report from a Boardman resident that she was experiencing medical issues. -MCSO arrested Ken neth James Doughty, 25, for DUII on Hwy. 74, Heppner. He was also cited for refus ing a blood alcohol test. -MCSO reported that numerous vehicles had been parked in the wrong area and drivers of the vehicles had been asked to move. -MCSO received report from a subject on Hwy. 74, lone, that he had hit a pheas ant. He reported that the pheas ant was off the road and it had just hit mirror. -MCSO received a 911 call from the Bank of Eastern Oregon, lone. It had happened the previous week and turned out to be an issue with their fax machine. -MCSO received report of vehicles “parking all over the place on Chase St., even on the sidewalk” in Heppner. A deputy responded and had a vehicle moved. and track meets are held on Thursday evenings in neighboring communities. I’he season lasts from April 1 to May 9 The cost to partici pate is $25 ($50 per family maximum) and students receive a t-shirt and sweat shirt that they will wear to track meets. Senior Golf tournaments begin April 8 The 2013 season for the Columbia - Blue Senior Golf Association (CBSGA) will start play on April 8 at The Dalles Country Club. W illow C reek C ountry Club has thirty-six senior golfers who are members o f CBSGA. Players are over age fifty and have established an Oregon Golf Association official handi cap. The CBSGA tourna ments are played at gross and net medal scoring in three flights determined by the players’ handicaps. The season’s events are held on the second Mondays of the month from April through October. Golf courses in the 2013 season besides The Dalles include Echo Hills, China Creek (Arlington), Goldendale, Willow Run (Boardman), Husum Hills and Big River (Umatilla). Senior men who would like to participate in the CBSGA tournaments are encouraged contact John Edmundson, WCCC-CBSGA Director, 676-5177. Over the Tee Cup The Willow Creek Country Club Ladies Play will start at 9 a.m. on April 2 at the Club. A hosted breakfast will be served by the club officers. After a short business meeting, scramble teams will be announced for the day’s play. All women golfers are welcome. A day of fun, food, golf and prizes is scheduled. The season lasts through the last Tuesday in September. Sunday men’s play tees off at Country Club Twenty-eight men par- ticip ated 'in the Sunday Mens K ick-off breakfast and play. Despite cold, breezy weather, everyone had a great morning of golf. ’55 Chevy best of Show at Cruz-In S ixty-tw o men and women participated in The 12th annual St. P atty ’s Cruz-In held during Hep- pner’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Care arrived from The Dalles, Pendleton, Pasco, Arlington, La Grande, Col lege Place, Lexington, Fos sil, Kennewick and Hep pner. Several downtown businesses helped the com mittee welcome drivers to town by participating in a Poke Walk. The Poker Walk winners were Leilani Oka- lani of College Place, with the highest hand and Gary Webb of Umatilla with the second highest hand.
