Keep local control over schools To the Editor: In reference to Governor Kitzhaber seeking the re duction of the local school districts, this is another way for the government to take control of the people. Also, how much control will the locals have over what the youngsters are taught. We will have no control over the collective bargain ing, which we should have. He is talking about the disconnect between the local level and state funding, but we will have no say over where our money goes. We need to retain local control over our schools.
