This is an opportunity to learn more about issues facing small businesses, including tax hikes and government regulations. Columbia River Com munity Health Service is taking appointments for free sports physicals on August 8, 15 and 24. Call for your appointment at 541-481-7212. Must bring school paperwork with par ent signature. Music in the Park: The next concert in Boardman w ill be Monday, August 13, featuring Frank Carlson. It starts at 7 p.m. at the Board- man Marina Park. Step Out Walk for Dia betes: ConA gra Foods- Lamb Weston challenges the businesses of our com munity to put a team to gether to participate in a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. On September 29, they will host a 5K. walk at the Boardman Marina Park with registra tion at 8:45 and the walk to begin at 9 a m. Each walker is asked to donate $25; each participant will receive a t- shirt at the end of the walk. Pre-register by September 18 by calling 541-481-2011 ext. 67310. Senior Breakfast: Sat urday, August 4, the Board- man Senior Center will hold their monthly community breakfast from 7:30- 10:30 a m. Breakfast is just $5 The 4,h annual Rollin’ on the River will be held on Saturday, September 22. at the Boardman Marina Park. Two live bands have been booked for your listening and dancing pleasure. It will also include a car show, dinner, and wine and beer. Call the chamber for more information. The next C ham ber membership lunch will be held on Wednesday, August 15, at noon at the Port of Morrow. Clean up Day: Make sure you are gathering your team to help w ith the Boardman Clean-Up Day on Saturday, September 29. More information will be available next week. Heppner Port of Morrow Facility Tours: The Port of Morrow will be offering guided bus tours o f its facilities to community, educational and business groups. Unfor tunately, they do not offer tours to young children; the tours will last from 45 minutes to one hour. Tours will be as follows: Friday, Aug, 3 from 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 4 from 10-11 a m. and II a.m. - noon. Morrow County Fair and Rodeo: “Country Pride, County Wide at the Morrow County Fair” is coming in just a few weeks; there w ill be lots of activities to see and do. as well as entertain ment to enjoy and friends to catch up with. Queen Maggie Collins is promot ing “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” on Friday, August 17. So come dressed in your pink and support a worthy cause. Willow Creek Coun try Club will be hosting “glow ball” on Saturday evening, August 18, start ing at 9:30 p.m. Cost to participate is $10. Take in all you can.
