S IX - Heppner Gazette-Tim es, Heppner, Oregon Sheriff’s Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office reports handling the fol lowing business: -C on tin u ed fro m PAGE FIVE Umatilla County Jail on a $10,500.00 bail. -MCSO received a call from a man in Board- man who would like an officer to make contact with his neighbor regarding the sprinkler that keeps coming onto his property. -MCSO received a report from a male caller in Irrigon about his neighbors who are letting off fireworks and scaring his dog. -MCSO received a report from a female caller in Irrigon about a truck that is throwing rocks all over the place and blaring loud music. July 9: -Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re ceived a call from a female in Heppner that there were two vehicles parked in the middle of the road and had been there for about 30 minutes. -MCSO received a report a report from a female in Irrigon that said her juvenile son was out o f control and threaten ing her and other children and would like a deputy to speak with him because she can’t control him. -MCSO received a report from a man in Board- man that a subject had a purse on the trunk of their car and took off without it and would like someone to respond to pick it up. -MCSO received several reports from callers in Boardman about a brush fire. Boardman Fire, Irrigon Fire, Boardman PD and MCSO all responded. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman that kids were smoking marijuana and had a campfire going. -MCSO received several calls reporting a fire at the Boardman Marina. Boardm an Fire, Board- man PD, and MCSO re sponded. -MCSO received a report from a female caller in Boardman that said her residence had been broken into and her laptop and PSP had been taken. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irri gon saying that her son was running around town and he is on probation and refusing to come home. -MCSO received a call from a man in Hep pner that said a juvenile female was behind the hos pital complaining of chest pains. -M CSO arrested a male subject in Irrigon for a DUII. The subject also received a citation for driving 82 mph in a 55mph speed zone, Driving While Suspended and Refusal of a BAC test. July 10: -A Mor row County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, November 30,2011 deputy was flagged down by a female in Irrigon who wanted to report that her golden lab dog had gone missing. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner saying that his neighbor is taking rocks from his property and then claiming that they are his and would like a deputy to contact him. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irri gon saying that his wife is having a yard sale and that when she went inside some one had taken her purse and a computer. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman saying there was a carcass in the middle of the road, possibly an elk. -M CSO arrested Fidel Cruz-avendano, 26, for a Washington County warrant and for Unlawful Del of Meth and Unlawful Possession of Meth. -MCSO received a call from a young male in Boardman who said his father had just hit his mom and would like a deputy to respond. July 11: -Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re ceived a call from a female in Boardman who said a young boy contacted her and said that he was getting hit by his father and that the father was out looking for him. The caller wanted a police officer to start look ing for the boy as well. -MCSO received a call from a man in Ir rigon who said there was gang graffiti on the front of an empty house that must have occurred over the weekend. -MCSO received an anonymous call from someone in Heppner about loud music. The caller said it had been going on for at least 2 hours and that it was so loud they could hear the base. -MCSO received a call from a female in Board- man who said there was an injured owl by the pond. The caller was given the number for Blue Mountain Wildlife Rescue. July 12: -Morrow County S heriff’s Office received a report from a woman in Irrigon who said a male and female in their 30’s jumped into her car that was running and parked at a gas station. They told the caller that they were go ing to steal the car, but when they noticed there were children in the car they got scared and jumped out. -Hermiston Police Department arrested Jes sica Cruz, 27, on an Irrigon Justice Court Warrant for Failing to Appear and Driv ing While Suspended. -MCSO received a report from a woman in Heppner who says that her neighbor’s dogs bark constantly. -MCSO received a report frdm a caller in Heppner who said two dogs were chasing a doe and her two fawns. -MCSO issued a citation to Maria Rosario Velasco De Arias, 54, for violating the basic rule of doing 75 mph in a 55 mph speed zone. July 13: -Morrow County S heriff’s Office received a call from a man in Heppner who said that a fawn had been hit by a car and was in the road. -MCSO received a complaint from a woman in Heppner who said that the dog she has been hav ing trouble with was at her house right now digging in the garbage. The caller said that she would take a picture of the dog so that when there is an availability deputy they can ID it. -MCSO received a call from a man in Irrigon who would like to talk to an officer about the smells coming from the neighbor ing farms. The caller said that last year the same thing happened and the farmers were told they had a certain amount of time to clean up the smell or they would be fined. -MCSO cited a fe male subject, 24, in Board- man for violating the speed limit, 79/65 work zone. -MCSO was flagged down by a person in Irrigon who wanted to report a chihuahua that was running loose. July 14: -K im - berely Forsythe, 41, was arrested by Marion County Probation and Parole on an Irrigon Justice Court Warrant for Failing to Ap pear and Driving While Suspended. -Jose D Padilla Al varado, 35, was arrested by Powder River Correctional Facility on an Irrigon Jus tice Warrant for Failing to Appear and Driving While Suspended. -M CSO arrested Craig Michael Scott, 28, on a Heppner Justice Court Warrant for Failing to Ap pear and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. -MCSO issued a citation to Leroy Clarence Vancourt, 72, for Driving While While Suspended and Driving Uninsured. -MCSO received a call from a woman in Irrig on who says that her parents were watching her children while she was at work and that the neighbor’s kids came over and got a stroller stuck between one of her vehicles and the fence. The caller said that they had scratched all up and down her car while they tried to get the stroller out. -MCSO received a call from a woman in Ir rigon who said that she had been assaulted and would like a deputy to respond. July 18: -Morrow County S heriff’s Office received report of a burglar alarm at an Irrigon busi ness. A deputy responded and was unable to locate anything. -MCSO received report of equipment tak en sometime the previous night from a Boardman farm. MCSO responded. -MCSO received report of a pigmy goat that was ill in Heppner. The owner needed to shoot it, but wanted to let MCSO know. MCSO responded. -MCSO received report of a vehicle on fire on 1-84, Boardman. No one was in the vehicle and the vehicle was non-blocking. -MCSO received report of a two-vehicle mo tor vehicle accident on 1-84 Boardman. There were no injuries. -MCSO received report for the parole and probation officer of a sub ject to be served a warrant staying at a residence in Lexington. -MCSO received report of littering in Hep pner, however the subject was littering on his own property. -MCSO received report of a theft of hay out o f a barn in Irrigon. The reporter saw tire tracks in the pasture. -MCSO received report of a horse with a pur ple halter in a fenced area in Irrigon without food, shade or water. The reporter took a five gallon bucket of water to him. -MCSO received report from a caller who said that one o f his pas sengers was hit on the head with a beer bottle at a beach in Umatilla County. He said he followed them and they went west-bound on Hwy. 730 into Morrow County and were not maintaining their lane. Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took the as sault report. -MCSO received report of subjects on Hwy. 730, Irrigon, hanging out of a vehicle that was crossing lanes. -MCSO arrested Tina Emastina Rodriguez, 23, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Posses- sion of a Controlled Sub- stance-Methamphetamine. She was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with no bail. -MCSO received report of a group of juve niles in Heppner playing with a wheel chair. The caller said that they advised her that it was stolen and then got into a car. A deputy responded but was unable to locate anyone in the area with a wheel chair. -Boardman Police Department received report of people burning fields. -BPD received re port of a fence being cut. -BPD received re port from a female that another female was harass ing her on Facebook and in person. -BPD received re port from a subject that his uncle was playing soccer at Sam Boardman Elementary and someone took his bag with his cell phone in it. When he tried to call the phone, the subject kept hanging up on him. -BPD received re port of a male subject going door to door trying to sell alarm systems. The reporter said that she read in the pa per that some one had been doing this in Hermiston and it was a scam. -MCSO received report that a female was assaulted by her 21-year- old sister whom her mother sent to bring her home. She stated she doesn’t need an ambulance. The informa tion was relayed to Benton County. -MCSO received report from a subject who said a man had sent them a strange e-mail. A deputy made contact the reporter and determ ined that no crime had been commit ted. -MCSO received report that a male subject stole a potato conveyer. -MCSO received report from the mother of a subject who said her son was in a motorcycle acci dent and his buddy took him to the RV park somewhere betw een K im berly and Heppner or possibly closer to Boardman. He reported superficial injuries. July 19: -MCSO received report from a Heppner man that he had received a threatening e- mail from a male subject in Heppner. He reported that he heard through the grapevine that the subject had done it before. The call had already been dealt with prior to this call. -MCSO received report of a subject walking with a gas can. The caller said the subject had previ ously been slowly driving up and down the street. -MCSO received report that Morrow County Justice o f the Peace Ann Spicer had recalled war rants for Michael Verstop- pen, Terralinda Hamilton, Kyle Sherlock, Matthew Bunn and Jesus Afanador Hernandez. -MCSO received report of a residential bur glar alarm in Irrigon. -Boardman Police Department received re port from a female on 1-84 Boardman that she blew a tire and the cab of the pick up was filled with smoke. -MCSO received a report of a puppy alongside the road on 1-84 Boardman. The puppy was transported to Pet Rescue. -Boardman Police Department received report that a young male driving a dark colored Ford Courier with flames on the side was consistently going down the street at high rates of speed in Irrigon. The caller reported that it was an on going problem. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon fe male that her sister was at her house and refused to leave. MCSO arrested Jam- mie Leann Jarrett for Fail ure to Appear/two counts of Theft II and two counts of Forgery II. She was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $10,000 bail. -MCSO received report that a subject with a warrant on him was at a location in Irrigon. MCSO arrested William Harold Easton, 38, on a Umatilla County Warrant for Fail ure to Appear/Possession of Methamphetamine and Giving False Information to a Police Officer. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $30,000 bail. -MCSO received report from a Irrigon sub ject that a lab with a lime green collar keeps coming on his property and fight ing with his dog. The caller requested that a deputy speak to the dog’s owner. A deputy made contact and advised the owners that if it happened again they would be cited. -MCSO received report of a party at Green Acres in Irrigon. The caller hung up and wouldn’t an swer on recall. -M CSO arrested Richard Waylon Smith, 31, on a Umatilla County warrant. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -Boardman Police Department received report of a male subject standing by his truck. The caller said it was unknown as to what he was doing. An officer made contact and determined that kids were playing hide and seek. July 20: -Morrow County S heriff’s Office received report from an Irrigon woman that two dogs were in her yard and wouldn’t leave. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon sub ject that his girlfriend forged his name on the title of his vehicle and she wasn’t sup posed to have any vehicle. He said he believed there was also a warrant out on her. He said only contacts her by phone, however he knows she is living with her mother in Irrigon. -MCSO received report o f horses walking down the side of the high way in Lexington toward lone. Caller was worried that he would get on the roadway. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon sub ject that a bike was sto len sometime the previous night. She said it had hap pened before and believes it may be the same person. -MCSO received report of someone attempt ing to take fuel from a vehi cle parked in her driveway in Irrigon. -MCSO received request from the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office for a welfare check on a subject in Heppner. His motorcycle had been left parked at the Dog Mountain Trailhead overnight. -MCSO received report from a Boardman woman that subjects had called her repeatedly, would not identify themselves, called back five tim es, cussed at her and called her rude names.
